The Color Absorbing filters operate through a process of either ionic absorption by inorganic material dispersed uniformly throughout the filter or by way of absorptive scattering crystallites formed within the glass. These color absorbing filters are used in such areas as photography, colorimetry, contrast enhancement, color conversion and a variety of other scientific and general purposes.
